Want to Make a Difference?

North Tahoe Arts is looking for a few people to join our Board of Directors. NTA’s board members volunteer their time and typically get involved in one or more aspects of the organization. If you are passionate about the arts and want to make a difference, please consider joining NTA’s board.

What’s involved:

  • Promoting and advocating for North Tahoe Arts within our community and the region.

  • Providing organizational leadership, oversight and governance.

  • Assisting in developing the annual budget and ensuring that proper financial controls are in place.

  • Planning for the future (we have a strategic plan which is updated yearly).

  • Overseeing one or more of NTA’s program or functional areas and an active participant in NTA’s activities.

  • Helping with fundraising.

  • Being alert to community values, trends, concerns to assist the board with creative ideas to develop art opportunities to support our community, our two artisan galleries and our exhibit spaces.

Board members typically participate more in the areas that align with their particular areas of interest. Together we ensure that the board complies with our governing documents and the requirements of being a 501c3 nonprofit.

Experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable:

  • Nonprofit governance

  • Fundraising

  • Human resources

  • Marketing, promotion and sales

  • Program management

How we Work

  • We meet twice a month by Zoom.

  • While financial support is encouraged, it is not required.

  • We work collaboratively and value joint decision-making.
